Jose raised his head and walked confidently. He looked as if he was welcoming death.

Suddenly, Marcus yelled, "What are you doing, Jose? Are you trying to doom the Torres clan? Back off right now!"

Marcus was terrified. Jose bravely stood up for the Torres clan, but Marcus scolded him instead. He was afraid of offending Cole.

Jose shook his head and sighed. He said, "Mister Torres, it's thanks to my mentor that I've achieved what I have today. I will now repay this debt I owe him with my life. This way, I'll be able to let his soul rest in peace."

"Are you crazy? Do you think you can defeat Mister Lane? You're not being grateful! You're trying to doom the Torres clan instead," scolded Marcus while he buttered up to Cole, "Mister Lane, please, Mister Lane. Just spare my life and all of the Torres clan's assets will be yours. The Torres clan is willing to work for you. Please have mercy."

Cole laughed and looked at Jose. He asked, "Do you wish to sacrifice your life for someone like him?"

Jose ignored him and told Marcus, "Mister Torres, I asked Mister Penn to come help us. He could easily handle Cole with his capabilities. However, you treated him with indifference and a lack of respect. I am too ashamed to ask him for his help now. I'll repay the Torres clan with my life today, and from now on, we don't owe each other anything."

Having said that, Aura surged from his body as he yelled at Cole, "Bring it on."

"Good. Since you're so full of spirit, I'll kill you first before I deal with the rest of them." Cole grinned maliciously and walked toward Jose.

Jose was in a defensive stance, and the Aura in his body was surging. It was clear that he was ready to fight with his life on the line.

Marcus said, "Mister Lane, this is the personal actions of Jose Smithson, and it has nothing to do with the Torres clan. Please don't blame the Torres clan."

Jose shook his head, but he was still determined.

Cole laughed and threw a blade straight at Jose. A sharp whistle echoed in the air.

"Jose Smithson, sacrificing yourself for someone like him is a waste. I feel bad for you," Cole bellowed.

Marcus was shocked. However, he immediately said, "Mister Lane, I don't know him. This has nothing to do with the Torres clan."

Cole ignored him outright, then turned to look at Wilbur and said, "Give it your all, kid. Play along with me."

"Jose, you forced me to help with your life, so I had to help," said Wilbur nonchalantly.

Jose realized that Wilbur saw through him, so he lowered his head in shame.

Wilbur beckoned to Cole and said, "Come on. I'll let you make the first move, so no one can accuse me of bullying."

"Are you trying to f*cking die?" Cole was enraged upon hearing that. The spiritual energy surged on his twin blades as he charged toward Wilbur.

Wilbur smiled faintly. He cast a simple spell with his hands and shouted, "Quad Thunder!"
