"There's not much to consider. I'll never agree to the marriage," Faye said determinedly.
Wilbur fell silent for a long time. Finally, he said, "Well, I'll go with you since you've made up your mind. I'm not going to let anyone force you into anything, not even your father."
Faye kissed Wilbur on the cheek all of a sudden before making a run for the door as she said, "I knew you'd help me, Boss!"
Wilbur stared at the door as it closed, rubbing at his face as he said furiously, "Keep up with that teasing, and I swear to god I'll do you in one day!"
Just then, his phone rang. Wilbur scoffed and picked up the call.
"Hello."
"Mister Penn?" A voice said.
Wilbur frowned. "Who is this?"
"It's Orin Campbell."
"Oh, Mister Campbell! How can I help you?"
"Someone from Northseecher is asking for you. Would you mind meeting with them?"
"Northseecher?"
"Yes. It's the head of the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense."
Wilbur paused before asking, "Where?"
"You can choose the location."
"Let's meet at Sealake Island, then. Twelve o'clock at noon, in room number one."
Not long after, footsteps could be heard from outside the door.
A woman walked in.
She looked to be in her thirties, with glossy skin and a stunning figure.
She was clad in a pencil skirt and a tight blouse that clung to her curves, and her hair fell around her shoulders in loose waves.
The woman set a briefcase by the door. She observed Wilbur closely before smiling. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jasmine Veila, the assistant of the head of the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense."
"It's a pleasure to meet you. Please, have a seat," Wilbur said.
Jasmine did not sit. She took a step to the side and waited by the door.
Just then, an old man hobbled in slowly on a cane.
