Faye sighed, smiling painfully. "I know. I won't give you a hard time about this, Boss. I'll handle this on my own."

"Uhh… Faye, what does your father do for a living? It feels like he's a pretty big deal, huh?" Wilbur tried to change the topic.

Faye scoffed. "He's the gang leader in Howl Province, Endler City. Got rich and successful thanks to one woman, and then forgot all about her. Until now, that is."

"Ahh, no wonder," Wilbur said with a frown.

Faye smiled all of a sudden. "Say, do you think my position in Cape would be affected if I were to agree to the marriage?"

"Of course not," Wilbur replied without hesitation.

Faye's smile froze on her face, and she sighed softly.

Wilbur said at once, "That's not what I meant! If you don't want to do it, you shouldn't be forced into it. Even if that's what your father wants."

"You don't know what he's like. He's going to make a huge deal out of this if I say no. Nothing good will come out of this," Faye said, shaking her head.

Wilbur frowned. "Well, if you really don't want to do that, you've got me to rely on. No one's going to force you into anything as long as I'm around."

"I knew you're the best, Boss," Faye smiled blissfully.

Wilbur blinked. It felt like he had walked right into that one.

Just then, his phone rang with a call from Faron.

"Hello?"

"Hey! Where are you right now?"

"I'm home."

"Come on, you own the place! I showed them your photo. Don't worry, it won't get out."

"I'm not worried about anything you're in charge of. I'll be on my way. Please have dinner on your own."

Wilbur left after that and drove to Sealake Island.

He could see Faron waiting for him on the bridge. Wilbur walked over, and Faron greeted him at once with a smile. "You're here, bro!"

"Let's go." Wilbur led Faron across the bridge, where the person standing there bowed at Wilbur at once. "Welcome, sir."

Wilbur nodded, and he entered with Faron in tow.

Faron was a little surprised. "Bro, do you own this place?"

"It was a gift from someone else," Wilbur said. Faron stopped in his tracks at once.
