What was going on? Why were the special agents seemingly targeting him instead?

However, Chandler did not want to listen to any more excuses. He shouted, "Arrest all of them as well as the person in charge of the security brigade. Send them all for interrogation. Let's see if they have any other connections. Punish them severely."

"Yes, sir," The team leader answered. With a wave of his hand, a group of special agents knocked Aaron and others down and handcuffed them.

Aaron almost soiled himself out of fear.

He never expected name-dropping his uncle to backfire on him, and even get everyone involved into trouble too. He wondered about the identity of the people before him.

In Aaron's heart, his uncle worked as a high-ranking official and had more power than he could imagine.

When his uncle returned home for festivities, the whole county welcomed him together. There would be an endless stream of guests at home and gifts were delivered to his house by trucks. Aaron felt envious just looking at the scene.
